WSP is seeking an Aviation Project Manager/Construction Manager for our Brentwood, TN Location.
Your Impact
- Manage the Airport Improvement Request (AIR) Program, facilitating tenant modifications and improvements within airport facilities
- Maintain and update AIR manuals, design standards, and construction guidelines to ensure consistency and compliance
- Oversee multidisciplinary design reviews (architectural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and civil) for all tenant submittals
- Perform constructability reviews of plans and specifications at required design milestones
- Coordinate with internal departments and stakeholders to ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and airport requirements
- Oversee tenant-led design and construction activities from initiation through closeout
- Administer construction activities, including attending meetings, reviewing submittals, and evaluating shop drawings
- Maintain accurate project records, reports, and database tracking throughout project lifecycle and closeout
- Review tenant construction schedules to ensure completeness and adherence to timelines
- Allocate and manage construction coordination and design review resources across projects
- Collaborate with contractors, consultants, and stakeholders to resolve technical issues, complaints, and construction challenges
- Coordinate project execution with property owners, regulatory agencies, and project teams to ensure efficient sequencing and timely delivery
- Identify environmental and safety risks and ensure compliance with OSHA and applicable safety standards
- Support additional duties and special projects as assigned
Who You Are
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
- In lieu of a degree, an additional 4+ years of relevant experience will be considered
- 7–10+ years of experience in construction management, design review, or program/project management—preferably in aviation or complex infrastructure environments
- Demonstrated experience managing design and construction activities, including plan review, submittals, and project coordination
- Strong knowledge of building codes, construction standards, and regulatory compliance requirements
- Experience working with multidisciplinary teams across architectural and engineering disciplines
- Ability to interpret plans, specifications, and construction schedules
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to coordinate across diverse teams
- Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with OSHA regulations and safety best practices
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working on airport or aviation infrastructure projects
- Knowledge of tenant improvement programs or similar approval processes
- Professional licensure or certifications (PMP, PE, RA, CCM, or similar)
- Experience with project management and document control systems
