WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?

This position supports the Canadian Retail business (retail branch network, commercial banking distribution and private banking) through CRE's three core portfolio management objectives of 1) Enabling the Business 2) Minimizing Costs and 3) Mitigating Risks across the Canadian Retail portfolio.  This role is responsible for leading portfolio strategies within the region, in collaboration with the CRE COE's including transactions, planning, strategy, workplace experience and finance.  It is also responsible for  integrated service delivery for all CRE services and serves as the key relationship point of contact and trusted business partner for the business platforms associated with the Retail network

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

Responsible for supporting ~$ 8 MM SF across ~1400 locations in Canada in collaboration with global CRE Centres of Excellence (COE’s)

  • Develop proactive working relationships with internal business partners and external suppliers
  • Lead real estate and workplace expertise, strategy and direction on all major initiatives within the region in collaboration with global CRE COE’s
  • Continually assess locations needs and business strategy with key stakeholders and business heads
  • Oversee third-party suppliers and outsource partners in accordance with the OneCRE partner model and supplier management protocols ensuring alignment of business strategies.
  • Lead portfolio strategies within the Canadian Retail region, in collaboration with the global CoE’s, including transactions, market planning, strategy, planning, workplace experience, and finance.
  • Lead end to end routines, including governance where applicable with 3rd party partners and the business to ensure management of KPIs, key risks, optimization of portfolio.
  •  Provide governance oversight and reporting to ensure all areas of CRE comply with internal policies and programs and external regulatory and legislative obligations in order to reduce risk, provide safe environments for our employees and clients and comply with appropriate laws
  • Drive operational excellence with a focus on operational risk and compliance for CRE processes within the region

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?

 Must have:

  • 5-7+ years of experience in corporate real estate with at least 3 years in a managerial capacity
  • Strategic business and financial / cost acumen
  • Exceptional client relationship management and consultative approach
  • Impact and influence (organizational awareness)
  • Experience in managing outsourced vendor relationships
  • Ability to forecast and prepare budgets

Nice-to-have

  • Experience in a matrix environment, such as a large, publicly-traded corporation
  • Proven knowledge of all aspects of corporate real estate processes
  • Contract management expertise
  • Proven management expertise
