Job Description Summary

We are seeking a motivated and analytical student or recent graduate for an internship opportunity at our Bushing Factory in Sesto San Giovanni.
In this role, you will work closely with the Lean & Manufacturing Engineering team to support the identification and implementation of continuous improvement projects. You will gain hands-on experience applying Lean methodologies within a real-world manufacturing environment, contributing to the optimization of production processes, waste reduction, and the enhancement of operational efficiency across the facility.

Job Description

Role Summary: 
As a Lean Intern, you will work closely with the Lean Leader to support the implementation of Lean methodologies across our operational processes. You will be actively involved in identifying inefficiencies, gathering data, and developing solutions designed to optimize workflows and reduce waste.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Support: Assist the Lean Leader in managing Kaizen events and continuous improvement workshops.
  • Data Analysis: Support the collection, processing, and analysis of performance data to identify critical areas and improvement opportunities.
  • Gemba Walks: Participate in Gemba Walks to observe processes directly on the shop floor and identify non-value-added activities in real-time.
  • Documentation: Assist in creating and updating standard work, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and project documentation.
  • Reporting: Support the tracking of project KPIs and assist in preparing presentations for status updates and management reviews.
     

Qualifications:

  • Current student or recent graduate in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, or similar) or Business Administration.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel and PowerPoint).
  • mainly office work at SestoSanGiovanni MI IT with flexibility of remote
  • Fluent English and Italian with working efficiency is required
  • Latest start date: 1st September
