The System Architect for Energy Storage Systems is responsible for defining, optimizing, and governing the end‑to‑end technical architecture of our battery energy storage platform—from cell and module design through rack, container, PCS, controls, protection, and MV grid interface. This role ensures that all subsystems integrate into a safe, reliable, high‑performance, and commercially competitive product tailored to regional market requirements.
Serves as the technical authority for system‑level decisions, bridging engineering and product management. Work alongside other System Architects to develop a global view (APAC, EMEA, AMER) and align global architecture standards with local codes, grid requirements, customer applications, and competitive landscapes.
Develop technical papers, based on research and new technologies deployments. Present material at conferences and engage with customers to further improve our solutions.
About the Job
Map current and future customer systems:
- Engage with customers to understand current system designs.
- Create maps of top 3 to 5 customers (targets)
- Develop roadmap of future solutions based on product developments.
Littelfuse Product Roadmap:
- Work alongside product managers and engineers to align product gaps and deficiencies.
- Develop current and future product needs.
- Update system maps to include product development and launch dates.
- Work alongside leadership to develop commercial maps and new business
- opportunities which will turn into revenue.
Sales Support and Customer engagement
- Produce technical white papers which demonstrate Littelfuse’s product and system leadership.
- Attend customer meetings and receive validation of solutions.
- Be the Littelfuse subject matter expert and present technical system designs at various conferences in Region.
Success:
- Monitor and report customer engagement, new findings for product development
- Report current progress and design-in “wins” to management
About You
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or a related field (technical background preferred) ; MSEE is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 10+ years of experience in the BESS market or adjacent energy storage, power electronics, or renewable energy sectors.
- Deep technical and commercial understanding of BESS architectures, safety systems, power conversion, protection technologies, standards, and emerging trends.
- Experience working directly with major OEMs, integrators, and utilities.
- Excellent communication and executive-level presentation capabilities.
- Ability to travel 30-50% globally.
