As a Biltmore Business Systems Analyst 1, you play a key role in connecting business needs with technology solutions that drive operational excellence and enhance the guest experience. This position supports both day-to-day system operations and project-based initiatives, contributing to the analysis, configuration, and ongoing support of business systems across multiple functional areas. You will partner closely with business stakeholders and internal teams to understand processes, gather and document requirements, and contribute to the delivery of system enhancements and solutions. The role involves identifying opportunities for improvement, developing practical solutions, and supporting successful implementation through testing, validation, and user support.

This role requires strong analytical thinking, curiosity, and comfort working with data to uncover insights and inform decisions. Success comes from a balance of technical aptitude and a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset, while continuing to build the experience and knowledge needed to take on increasing responsibility over time.

Essential Job Duties

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders and internal team members to gather, document, and clarify business requirements, processes, and system needs.

  • Provide day-to-day support for assigned business systems, including troubleshooting issues, resolving user questions, and escalating more complex problems as needed.

  • Analyze existing business processes and workflows to identify inefficiencies, gaps, and opportunities for improvement.

  • Support the design, configuration, and implementation of system enhancements and solutions under the guidance of senior analysts or leadership.

  • Participate in project efforts by completing assigned tasks, tracking progress, and ensuring deliverables are completed accurately and on time.

  • Execute testing activities, including creating and running test cases, validating results, and documenting defects or issues.

  • Develop and maintain system documentation, including process flows, requirements, user guides, and training materials.

  • Support reporting and data validation efforts by creating reports, reviewing outputs, and helping ensure data accuracy and consistency.

  • Provide end-user support and training to promote effective system usage and adoption across business areas.

  • Maintain an understanding of assigned systems, business processes, and data flows, while continuing to build technical and functional knowledge.

  • Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to provide updates, ask questions, and ensure alignment on tasks and expectations.

  • Follow established standards, processes, and best practices for system support, documentation, and project delivery.

  • Collaborate with other analysts and technical resources to improve data quality, reporting accuracy, and system reliability

  • Monitor system performance and data quality, identifying inconsistencies or issues and bringing them forward for resolution.

  • Coordinate with vendors and internal support teams to track and resolve system-related issues, ensuring timely follow-up and communication.

Support change management activities by contributing to communication, documentation, and coordination of system updates, releases, and enhancements.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Participate in on-call support rotation and provide after-hours support for business-critical systems as needed

  • Triage incoming support requests, prioritize issues based on business impact, and ensure appropriate follow-up and resolution

  • Support business initiatives by contributing to system evaluations, solution discussions, and implementation efforts as needed

  • Maintain awareness of assigned systems, vendor updates, and industry trends to support continuous improvement efforts

  • Apply analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot issues, identify root causes, and contribute to practical solutions

  • Contribute to the development and refinement of documentation, standards, and best practices across the team

  • Participate in team meetings, knowledge sharing, and cross-training activities to expand system and business knowledge

  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned by leadership.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • 1–3 years of experience in a business systems, technical, or analytical role

  • Experience supporting business applications, systems, or data processes preferred

  • Foundational understanding of business systems, data structures, and system integrations

  • Ability to analyze business processes, identify issues, and contribute to effective solutions

  • Experience with data analysis, reporting tools, or query languages (e.g., SQL) preferred

  • Basic understanding of system configuration, testing methodologies, and troubleshooting techniques

  • Familiarity with documentation practices including requirements, process flows, and user guides

  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities

  • Willingness to ask questions, seek guidance, and collaborate with team members

  • Ability to document and convey information in a clear, structured manner
