Special Handling Associate

Position Details:  Title: Special Handler Department: Distribution Operations Reports to: Distribution Operations Supervisor Location: Hanson, KY Job Classification: Onsite FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Job Band: Union Shifts Available: 2nd, 3rd, 4th Job Summary ​​​The primary function of this position is to add value added services to Carhartt garments prior to shipping from the DC​​. Associate Responsibilities Responsible for various hanger placements, polybags, and ticketing of products for customers   Responsible for following instructions for placement and attachment requirements to ensure customer satisfaction   Assist in establishing and maintaining safety and housekeeping in assigned areas   Responsible for timely reporting of problems in work area to Production Supervisor   Responsible for following the preferred work method   Responsible for adhering to company policy and procedures Demonstrate good organizational skills, attention to detail, and a high level of accuracy and quality of work   Demonstrate honest and ethical behavior in activities   Responsible for utilizing warehouse management system to perform selective tasks     Required Education High School Diploma or GED preferred Required Skills & Experience Ability to read fine print for extended periods of time   Ability to positively interact with other associates   Ability to adjust to doing multiple tasks   Ability to work in a job with precise tolerance and standards   Ability to work 10 or 12 hour shifts   Physical Requirements and Working Conditions Strength: Lifting- Up to 50 pounds constantly. Carrying- Up to 50 pounds constantly Pushing- Up to 50 pounds constantly. Pulling- 0-10 pounds constantly  Movement- Standing, Walking, Climbing Stairs, Reaching Forward/Overhead, Balancing, Stooping, Kneeling, Crouching  Average hand/eye/foot coordination   Hazards-Proximity    ​​This position has an On-Site location: Associate will work on-site for all work-related activities.  ​​Carhartt is a tobacco free workplace.   #LI
