PILATES INSTRUCTOR

Located on the traditional, ancestral and unceded lands of the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh Nations, West Vancouver is a vibrant community on the North Shore and home to parks, beaches, and to sports, recreation and arts amenities. The District of West Vancouver offers a wide range of health & fitness activities including a dynamic and diverse Group Fitness Schedule at our both our West Vancouver (WVCC) and Gleneagles (GECC) Community Centres. We are seeking a certified and experienced casual Pilates instructor who can teach adult mat Pilates at a variety of levels (Intro., Intermediate and Advanced) and seniors’ chair Pilates. All classes are during weekdays. Experience with older adults or the ability to adapt to all ages would be considered an asset.
This position offers competitive wages and access to in-house instructor training workshops. Our community centres are located on transit routes and offer free street parking.

The successful candidate will possess a valid Pilates certificate (Stott, BCRPA), current First Aid and CPR. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to demonstrate their teaching skills.
The successful candidate is required to supply a police information check with “vulnerable sector” and a copy of their credentials.
