Position Overview
Lumilens is seeking a skilled Hardware Test Engineer with 10-12 years of experience to join our innovative hardware team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and compliance of our high-performance photonics and semiconductor solutions through rigorous hardware testing practices. You will play a key role in the development lifecycle, collaborating with engineering and manufacturing teams to deliver products that meet the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
Design and execute comprehensive hardware test plans and test cases for new product introductions and existing hardware platforms
Develop and maintain automated test setups, utilizing industry-standard frameworks and tools
Analyze and debug hardware issues, working cross-functionally with design and development teams
Ensure testing aligns with industry standards and regulatory requirements
Interpret hardware schematics and datasheets to facilitate thorough testing methodologies
Conduct environmental testing, including thermal and humidity assessments
Perform and document EMC (Electromagnetic Compatibility) tests as needed
Operate a variety of test equipment, including oscilloscopes, multimeters, and logic analyzers
Maintain detailed test records, results, and reports for product validation and compliance
Required Technical Skills
Proficiency in hardware testing methodologies and best practices
Strong knowledge of electrical and electronic systems
Experience designing and executing test plans and test cases
Familiarity with test automation tools and frameworks
Ability to read and interpret hardware schematics and datasheets
Knowledge of industry standards and regulations for hardware testing
Understanding of signal integrity and power integrity concepts
Proficiency using test equipment, such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and logic analyzers
Experience with hardware debugging and troubleshooting techniques
Understanding of digital and analog circuit design principles
Familiarity with environmental testing (temperature and humidity chambers)
Understanding of electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) testing
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field
10-12 years of hands-on experience in hardware testing within optical, semiconductor, or related technology sectors
Strong analytical, organizational, and collaborative communication skills
