The Role: Advisory Over Compliance
This is not a traditional tax filing or compliance-heavy role
We are looking for a "Tax Intelligence Specialist" rather than a "Tax Accountant."
Indirect tax rules are evolving rapidly for digital businesses. In this role, you will support the global Indirect Tax team based in the Netherlands to act as a Strategic Watchtower—monitoring global developments, strengthening tax operations, interpreting complex legislation, and "translating" those findings into structured operational

This role leans more on how you think and communicate than on number crunching
You’ll spend your time understanding new regulations, making sense of what they mean for the business, and articulating that clearly for others.
You won’t be signing off on final tax positions, but you’ll work closely with those who do—building a strong understanding of how decisions are shaped in a global environment.

What You’ll Be Working On
Global Indirect Tax Monitoring
Track VAT/GST and indirect tax developments across jurisdictions
Maintain a central repository of legislative updates
Use research and AI tools to summarize key
Highlight potential business impact for internal review
Requirements & Impact Support
Prepare first-draft summaries of new tax rules
Translate legislation into structured operational
Flag potential system and process implications
Compliance & Process Support
Support indirect tax compliance activities (e.g., use tax accruals, data preparation)
Maintain registration trackers and compliance documentation
Assist with routine tax authority responses under supervision
Track policy calendars and advisor deliverables
Tax Operations & Coordination
Support budget and advisor spend tracking
Maintain structured documentation and internal logs
Coordinate information requests across brands and functions
What You Bring
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Tax or related field (Master’s degree preferred)
3–5 years of experience in tax, finance operations, or compliance support
Strong analytical and documentation skills
Comfort working with structured data and trackers
Clear written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multinational environment
Preferred:
Exposure to indirect tax (VAT/GST/sales & use tax)
Experience working with global or multinational teams
Familiarity with AI-enabled research or workflow tools
