
Dir-Outpatient Pharmaceutical Services
Job Description
As the Director of Of out Patient Pharmaceutical Services you will provide strategic direction for outpatient, home infusion, and specialty pharmacy services. Manages service delivery, quality improvement, compliance, and financial planning while engaging in strategic discussions.
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a large/ critical complex pharmacy area/ team.
- Contribute to the overall pharmacy services strategy and roadmap, and drive implementation in line with institutional objectives.
- Drive resource planning and process development in line with strategic priorities and support the allied health leadership teams.
- Establish and maintain relationships with stakeholders at multiple levels in the organization to drive results.
- Influence external stakeholders strategically through proactive engagement.
- Actively drive processes for team management in terms of goal setting, performance, development, and engagement.
- Accountable for budget management for own area.
- Perform other duties as assigned to meet the goals and objectives of the department and institution.
- Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
Minimum Education and/or Training:
- Graduate of a School of Pharmacy accredited by the American Council of Pharmacy Education.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and/or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) perferred.
Minimum Experience:
- Graduate of a School of Pharmacy accredited by the American Council of Pharmacy Education and 10+ years of experience in a relevant pharmacy services area including experience managing mid-large teams with focus on both achievement of objectives as well as critical skill-building.
- Significant experience with clinical pharmacy practice, medication safety, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Significant experience in participating in pharmacy committees and/or hospital formulary decisions and developing medication-related policies and protocols.
- Experience having led large-scale programs/processes through to implementation.
- Experience with operational management, budget planning, and vendor & resource management.
- Prior experience in building external connections with peers, emerging pharmacy services communities, and vendor networks.
- Proven performance in earlier role/comparable role.

Compensation
In recognition of certain U.S. state and municipal pay transparency laws, St. Jude is including a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This is an estimate offered in good faith and a specific salary offer takes into account factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the salary range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
