About the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join our growing team at Zalaris. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering accurate and compliant payroll services, supporting clients and employees, and contributing to continuous improvement within payroll operations. You will work in an international environment where quality, collaboration, and customer focus are key.
Your Responsibilities
- Ensure accurate and timely payroll execution, including salary calculations, deductions, bonuses, and other compensation elements
- Handle service requests via C4C system and respond to email inquiries in a timely and professional manner
- Maintain and update employee data (tax information, pensions, benefits) and process payroll-related changes
- Register new hires, terminations, and employment changes in the system
- Maintain organisational structure and manage absence and attendance registrations
- Prepare and submit statutory reports, including tax filings and social security contributions
- Respond to payroll-related questions from employees, providing clear and accurate guidance
- Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies, issues, and queries
- Maintain physical and electronic documentation and archives
- Stay up to date with local legislation and provide guidance to clients and internal teams
- Support onboarding of new clients and participate in payroll implementations
- Perform testing related to HRSP updates and client-specific change requests
- Act as a mentor and support knowledge sharing within the team
Your Experience & Skills
- Experience in payroll processing, ideally in a multi-client or outsourced environment
- Good understanding of payroll legislation, tax, and statutory reporting requirements
- Experience handling high-volume service requests and working with SLA-driven processes
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data handling
- Ability to troubleshoot payroll issues and find practical solutions
- Strong communication skills when working with clients, stakeholders, and employees
- Experience with payroll systems (SAP or similar systems is an advantage)
- Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- Fluency in English; additional languages are an advantage
Nice to Have
- Experience working with C4C or ticketing systems
- Previous involvement in payroll implementations or transitions
- Mentoring or team support experience
