Your role and responsibilities:
In this role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end planning and management of inventory, ensuring an efficient flow from purchase requisition through to customer invoicing and delivery execution. A strong focus will be placed on planning activities, including order portfolio management, inventory optimization, replenishment strategies, and the definition of inventory parameters and targets to guarantee material availability and service level performance.
The work model for the role is onsite. #LI-Onsite
This role is contributing to the IPU in Quartino, Switzerland. Main stakeholders are the P&F, OP&L, Logistics, IPU Stand Alone, Modular and B&S.
You will be mainly accountable for:
Defining inventory policies based on specified segmentation, including ABC/XYZ analysis to optimize inventory strategies, stock levels, and service performance in terms of ROTD
Calculating and maintaining the inventory parameters, including safety stock, reorder point, lot size, lead time, and replenishment strategies, in SAP
Coordinating material planning with call-offs to ensure that purchase requisitions are converted into purchase orders in collaboration with operations, buyers, and services
Collaborating with buyers to achieve the best possible supplier performance in terms of supplier on-time delivery, Minimum Order Quantity, quality, lead time, and flexibility
Demonstrating solid knowledge of logistics flows and operational dynamics to ensure efficient material availability, inventory management, and end-to-end supply chain coordination
Qualifications for the role:
+5 years of experience in material planning
Degree in Management Engineering/Economics as a preferred qualification
Good skills in data analysis, structured thinking, teamwork, and communication
Profound knowledge in SAP MM/PP, MS Excel, and Power BI
Fluency in Italian and English
