About the Role
Under the general supervision of the attending physician and in accordance with department protocols, the General Ultrasound Technologist performs a variety of diagnostic ultrasound examinations using high-frequency sound waves and related imaging techniques. This role is responsible for producing, analyzing, and documenting high-quality images and data to assist physicians in diagnosing a wide range of medical conditions. The technologist ensures accuracy, efficiency, and compassionate patient care in every interaction.
Here's what you'll need
Required:
- Associate Degree; graduate from an accredited two-year Ultrasound Program, required; OR equivalent training acquired via work experience
- Specific Degree(s): AMA approved Sonography program;
- Graduate of a CAAHEP (Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs) approved school of Ultrasound Technology
- Less than one year of previous job-related experience
- Must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization
Licensure/Certifications
Required:
- CPR from American Heart Association
- Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS)- Mininimum of one to two specialties of either Abdomen and/or Obstetrics & Gynecology or PS required.

Pay Range: $38.00 – $59.00 per hour
Actual compensation will fall within the range but may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, education, location, licensure, certification requirements, and comparisons to colleagues in similar roles.
