Director for Addictions Medicine

The Director for Addictions Medicine provides clinical and administrative leadership to develop and maintain the Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) program at the VGMHC. The Director for Addictions Medicine participates as a member of the management team and ensures that MAT activities are of the highest clinical quality, are consistent across the clinic sites, and comply with all regulatory guidelines. This work will be supported through a strong connection and integration with the VGMHC Mental Health Department staff and services. The Director for Addictions Medicine provides clinical leadership and mentoring of colleagues as they take on MAT care for patients. They work with Behavioral Health Care Coordinators (BHCCs) and other Mental Health staff to build and support relationships with other substance use disorder (SUD) treatment organizations in the community.
