Job Description
Duties (NOT ALL INCLUSIVE):

Ensure a safe operation of USCG Inspected Vessel – Powerboats and sailboats

Responsible for all crew and passengers’ safety while under way and on the dock

Delegate and accounts for all pre-trip provisioning, preparation and vessel inspection, post trip cleaning and resupply.

Ensure crew delivers an enjoyable, guest centric and luxury experience throughout the excursions (includes food and beverage).

Account for and report routine maintenance and critical maintenance needs.

Manage assigned crew member(s)

Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
-
Current USCG credential – Captains
-
Master 50 Ton near coastal
-
Sail endorsement required for Sail catamarans
-
-
TWIC Card
-
STCW Basic Training
-
II/3 STCW Endorsement is a plus for BVI Operations
-
Current First Aid/CPR
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
-
Must be able to walk on various types of surfaces including rough terrain, sitting, standing, maintaining balance, on the beach, and in the water, and working alone.

Must be able to work various work settings such as exposure to sunlight and outside temperature.
-
Must be able to lift 50lbs.

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all persons contacted during the work.

Ability to read, interpret, and apply regulations and safe practices.

Ability to operate assigned equipment, read and interpret documents.

Ability to multi-task.

Ability to speak and write clearly and concisely.

Must be able to operate with little or no supervision.

Must be willing to work holidays, nights, and weekends.

Previous day charter experience is a plus

Knowledge of local destinations

Basic knowledge of maintenance of vessels a plus
