Serco is hiring a Shipyard Laborer to be part of a dynamic team supporting our US. Navy. You will be part of a team that works closely with the customer and other Serco team members to deliver quality work performed on-board U.S. Naval Ships located in the beautiful surroundings of Mayport, FL.
Serco supports our US Naval Ships with successful and safe work for our Navy customer by providing cabling, equipment, and C5ISR system installations for our Navy and the Military. You will join an active team to perform general manual labor to support this critical mission.
You will join, fabricate, and assemble various electromechanical and electronic assemblies by applying appropriate safety techniques and the work is performed on-board U.S. Naval Ships and military installations. You will also play a critical role in ensuring that successful and safe work is performed on-board U.S. Naval Ships and our Military installations, which is vital to our Mission to protect and serve our Military.
In this role, you will:
- Perform general manual labor including loading, unloading, lifting and moving supplies and materials.
- Perform duties as a fire watch and welder`s helper as well as install electric cable when needed.
- Work under immediate supervision.
- Primary job functions do not typically require exercising independent judgment.
- Typically report to a supervisor or manager.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A High School Diploma
- The availability to work second or thirds shift as needed and more than 40 hours work weeks.
- To successfully undergo a background investigation and drug screening.

Salary range: The range for this position can be found at the top of this posting. This range is provided as a general guideline and represents a good faith estimate across all experience levels. Actual base salary will be determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to, the scope of the role, relevant experience, job-related knowledge, education and training, key skills, and geographic market considerations. For roles available in multiple states, the range may vary to reflect differences in local labor markets. In addition to base salary, eligible positions may include other forms of compensation such as annual bonuses or long-term incentive opportunities.
