As a Shop Service Technician I, you will be the backbone of our service operations, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a premier line of residential generators and engines. Responsibilities:
Efficiently diagnose, troubleshoot, overhaul, and maintain portable residential generators, engines, and related power equipment.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shop environment, ensuring equipment is loaded, unloaded, and fluids are precisely managed for field teams.
Team up with our Dispatch operations for seamless daily scheduling and work directly with internal and external customers to provide top-tier service.
Attend factory-sponsored training to earn valuable certifications, serving as a trusted technical resource for your peers and educating customers on product value.
Track your billable hours, expenses, and service documentation with high attention to detail.
Minimum Qualifications:
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
1+ years of experience in repair, installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of generators, engines, or related equipment; experience with Generac, Cummins, Onan, Kohler, and/or Cat preferred
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; and use hands to manipulate objects or controls. The employee is regularly required to stand and walk. On occasion the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend or reach above the shoulders. The employee must occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. Specific conditions of this job include are typical of frequent and continuous computer-based work requiring periods of sitting, close vision and ability to adjust focus.
