OVERVIEW:

The Financial Analyst is responsible for a variety of financial and analytical duties associated with the Dick’s Media Network.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Budgeting and Forecasting  

• Assist in the preparation of assigned components of the annual Company budget. Scope may include sales, gross profit, operating expenses, administrative expenses and capital expenditures.

• Analyze variances vs budget and historical results. Identify key drivers and trends.

• Work with business partners to update the forecast. 

• Analyze and proactively address forecast accuracy issues.

• Identify forecast risks and opportunities

Monthly Close  

• Complete month-end closing activities which may include journal entries, reconciliations and variance analysis.

• Assist with management reporting in support of our financial close cycle.

Reporting & Financial Analysis                                  

• Compile, validate and summarize financial information submitted by other business areas.

• Support weekly financial reporting that drives business discussions and decisions.

• Assist with new business initiatives.

• Identify and implement process improvements.

Finance Operations

• Partner with Accounting Operations to manage the billing function.
• Partner with Expense Payables to manage purchase orders and monitor payments ​

Development

• Take ownership and drive your professional development, in conjunction with your manager.

QUALIFICATIONS:

•  Bachelor's Degree

• Three to five years of finance or marketing experience

• Proficient in Excel

• Financial Modeling Skills

• Peoplesoft Experience

• Hyperion Budgeting and Forecast System

• Ability to work independently

• Ability to multi-task
