Job Description
This role is suited to an HR professional who is building business partnering capability and enjoys providing practical HR support within a fast-paced operational environment. Combining strong administration, sound judgement, stakeholder engagement and a shared service mindset You will serve as a trusted HR Advisor and a first point of contact for day-to-day HR matters. The role focuses on delivering consistent, efficient and compliant HR support, enabling business operations to meet Service Level Agreements and client commitments, while ensuring a positive employee experience.

Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the first-line HR contact for day-to-day queries.
- Support and coach operations managers in ER matters including but not limited to: absence management, conduct, grievances and performance improvement documentation.
- Build effective working relationships with managers and employees across support areas to understand operational needs and provide responsive HR support.
- Support and coach line managers in applying performance management principles, in collaboration with Performance and Development to drive fairness and consistency.
- Provide commercially focused advice and support to managers on all employee relations issues in line with Company procedures, including disciplinary, grievance and sickness absence matters.
- Produce monthly HR reports and present insights and recommendations to HODs to support decision-making.
- In collaboration MI, Identify trends and proactively address high turnover, sickness absence and cost savings within the assigned support area.
- Facilitate ad hoc HR projects and initiatives in collaboration with stakeholders, e.g. restructuring, change management and Group HR initiatives.
Minimum Requirements
- 2–3 years' Human Resources related experience.
- Strong stakeholder management.
- Solid fundamentals in HR practices: recruitment, onboarding, performance management, employee relations and day-to-day query management.
- Experience supporting multiple line managers or lines of business in a fast- environment.
- Experience in the BPO industry is an advantage.
Qualifications
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or Industrial Psychology (essential).
- Registration with SABPP or HPCSA (where applicable) will be advantageous.
Key Attributes
- Strong understanding of South African employment law and HR best practices, with the ability to research specifics for local jurisdictions.
- Working knowledge of the full employee lifecycle and how HR practices support business decisions and performance.
- Ability to identify opportunities to enhance cost effectiveness and increase operational efficiency.
- Knowledge of HR governance, reporting standards and the importance of data accuracy and record management.
- Basic understanding of organisational development and change management principles (advantageous).
- Ability to influence key decision makers and to challenge when necessary.
- Ability to multi-task, work well under pressure and use own initiative.
- Strong written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong reporting skills.
