The Position
The Demand Fulfillment Planner is responsible for end-to-end demand management and short-term supply fulfillment execution. This role ensures accurate demand forecasting, effective inventory management, and timely product availability to meet customer requirements.
The position serves as a key integration point across Commercial, Finance, and Supply Chain functions, driving alignment through the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process and ensuring seamless coordination between demand and supply.
Responsibilities
Demand Management:
Own and manage demand forecasts for assigned markets, customers, and product portfolio
Develop and maintain statistical and consensus forecasts using commercial insights and historical data
Perform market segmentation and manage demand scenarios (baseline, upside, downside)
Analyze demand trends, risks, and opportunities in collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders
Monitor forecast consumption and adjust plans based on evolving demand signals
Conduct forecast performance analysis and implement continuous improvement actions
Support inventory strategy development for existing, new, and phase-out products
Manage product lifecycle planning (new product launches, changes, and discontinuations)
Integrated Business Planning (IBP):
Lead and facilitate demand review discussions within the IBP cycle
Drive cross-functional alignment across Commercial, Finance, and Supply Chain
Prepare and present demand insights, risks, opportunities, and gap-to-plan analysis
Ensure consensus demand plans are aligned with financial targets and business objectives
Fulfillment & Supply Coordination:
Ensure order fulfillment within the 0–12 week planning horizon
Act as primary liaison with Site Planners and End-to-End (E2E) Planners for supply execution
Identify, communicate, and resolve supply-demand imbalances
Execute allocation decisions during supply constraints
Escalate risks related to demand changes, supply shortages, or inventory issues
Coordinate supply readiness for product launches, transfers, and network changes
Manage finished goods release priorities and expedite shipments when required
Systems & Data Management:
Maintain data integrity in planning systems, including SAP S/4HANA and IBP
Ensure accurate product hierarchy, demand signals, and planning parameters
Collaborate with Order Management to ensure timely and accurate sales and purchase orders creation and update
Support system enhancements, upgrades, and adoption of planning tools
Performance & Process Excellence:
Monitor and improve key performance indicators (e.g., forecast accuracy, OTIF, inventory levels)
Support demand review processes and global planning calendar adherence
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance planning effectiveness and efficiency
Apply root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions to resolve supply chain issues

Forecast Accuracy and Bias Reduction
On-Time In-Full (OTIF) Delivery
Inventory Health (e.g., excess, shortages, expiry risk)
Service Level Performance
Responsiveness to demand and supply changes
Required Education, Experience and Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business or related discipline
Minimum 3 years of experience in demand planning, supply planning, or supply chain operations
Experience working with ERP and planning systems, preferably SAP S/4HANA and IBP
Experience in KPI monitoring and performance-driven environments
Prior experience in pharmaceutical or regulated industries is advantageous
Technical & Functional
Strong understanding of demand forecasting, inventory management, and supply planning
Proficiency in data analysis and planning tools
Experience working with integrated planning systems and data models
Analytical & Problem Solving
Strong analytical mindset with ability to interpret complex datasets
Experience in root cause analysis (RCA) and continuous improvement methodologies
Communication & Influence
Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
Ability to influence cross-functional teams in a matrix organization
Clear and concise communication of insights and recommendations

Preferred Qualifications
APICS certification (e.g., CPIM, CSCP)
Lean / Six Sigma (Green Belt) certification
Experience with advanced planning tools and digital supply chain solutions
