Job Description
At Qualitrol in Fairport, NY, the Production Supervisor oversees daily manufacturing operations to ensure smooth, efficient, and safe production while meeting quality standards and production targets
Key Responsibilities
Supervise Production Activities: Oversee daily manufacturing operations, ensuring adherence to production schedules and quality specifications
Team Leadership: Manage, train, and motivate production workers; foster a positive, productive work environment
Quality Control: Monitor processes to meet quality standards; implement corrective actions when needed
Safety Compliance: Enforce safety protocols, conduct inspections, and provide safety training
Process Improvement: Identify and implement efficiency gains, reduce waste, and lead continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., Kaizen events)
Inventory Management: Track raw materials and finished goods; coordinate with procurement for timely material availability
Reporting: Maintain production data records; prepare and submit reports to the Plant Manager
Problem-Solving: Address and resolve production issues promptly to minimize disruptions
Communication: Serve as a liaison between management and production staff, ensuring clear communication of goals, changes, and updates
Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred
Skills: Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making; excellent communication and interpersonal skills; proficiency with manufacturing software/tools
Knowledge: Understanding of manufacturing processes, quality control, and safety regulations
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand for extended periods.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Shift: A Shift (Team hours 7 AM - 3:30 PM)
Environment: Fast-paced manufacturing plant with a culture of continuous improvement, autonomy, and collaboration
Impact: Responsible for safety, quality, cost, delivery, and schedule goals; may establish new production cells and lead training
