Job Summary
At Zendesk, our IT team, in partnership with finance and business stakeholders, is dedicated to improving the integration of finance operations and technology. As we continue to grow our team in Pune, we are looking for a skilled Business Systems Analyst with strong experience in Workday Adaptive Planning, FP&A processes, and finance system enhancements.

Who We’re Looking For
We are seeking a Business Systems Analyst who thrives in a collaborative environment and is committed to improving finance operations through a strong understanding of business processes and systems. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in business systems analysis, with a specific focus on Adaptive Planning and SaaS-based finance tools, and will demonstrate experience working in agile environments.
You should have a strong foundation in requirements development, be comfortable partnering with finance stakeholders, and be able to clearly understand and
communicate business fundamentals in a way that drives effective technology solutions.
What You’ll Be Doing
As a Business Systems Analyst focused on Adaptive Planning and Finance Systems, you will:
● Analyze and Optimize Finance Value Streams: Examine end-to-end FP&A
processes, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting, to identify
opportunities for improvement and optimization, aligning technology solutions
with business objectives.
● Act as the Functional Lead: Serve as the functional lead and central point of
contact on assigned projects, enhancements, and finance system initiatives.
● Gather and Document Requirements: Collaborate with finance stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document detailed business requirements, translating them into functional specifications and actionable system solutions.
● Facilitate Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as a liaison between finance teams and technical resources, ensuring clear communication and alignment
throughout the implementation of solutions.
● Participate in Agile Practices: Actively participate in agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, backlog refinement, reviews, and retrospectives, contributing to continuous improvement while promoting agile principles across the team.
● Conduct User Acceptance Testing: Collaborate with teams to define acceptance criteria, develop test plans, and conduct UAT, ensuring that solutions meet
business requirements before deployment.
● Support Change Management Initiatives: Guide business partners through
changes introduced by new technologies, assisting with training, user support,
and post-implementation feedback loops.
● Drive Process Improvements: Identify opportunities to streamline finance
workflows, improve reporting accuracy, and enhance system usability.
● Leverage AI Tools for Enhancement: Use AI-driven tools where appropriate to
streamline the requirements gathering and documentation process, enhancing
productivity and improving the efficiency of the overall workflow.

What You Bring to the Role
To be successful in this role, you should have:
● Business Analysis Expertise: 5+ years of experience in business systems
analysis or business analysis, preferably supporting finance systems and SaaS
applications.
● Hands-On Adaptive Planning Experience: Strong experience with Workday
Adaptive Planning, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes.
● Finance Process Knowledge: Solid understanding of FP&A workflows and
exposure to finance transformation initiatives.
● ERP / Finance Systems Experience: Experience working with ERP or accounting systems such as NetSuite; exposure to finance processes such as R2R and S2P is a plus.
● Requirements Development Skills: Proven ability to gather, analyze, and
document complex business requirements and specifications, coupled with
strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Hybrid: In this role, our hybrid experience is designed at the team level to give you a rich onsite experience packed with connection, collaboration, learning, and celebration - while also giving you flexibility to work remotely for part of the week. This role must attend our local office for part of the week. The specific in-office schedule is to be determined by the hiring manager.
