OVERVIEW
WHAT YOU'LL DO
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Merrick is seeking a Construction Site Manager (contract) to provide to join our team at our project site in Chalmette, Louisiana. This contract position will be located at our client site, not a Merrick office. This on-site contract position is expected to end July 31, 2026.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Responsible for all on-site management, supervision, and coordination of construction activities.
- Responsible for establishing and monitoring job site safety, health, and environmental program.
- Responsible for controlling project schedule and cost through the efficient use of all construction resources including manpower, materials, tools, and equipment.
- Schedule and coordinate all required permit, inspection, and testing agency activities.
- Ensure the quality of field installations.
- Conduct on-site schedule coordination meetings weekly, or as required, to maintain effective communication, coordination, and schedule and cost control.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- This position requires at least three (3) years of experience in construction site management in industrial or manufacturing enviroments.
- Candidates must be local
- Ability to deliver projects on time and on budget.
- Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations.
- Working knowledge of OSHA requirements is necessary.
- A valid driver’s license is required.
- This position requires exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organization and planning skills are required.
- Time management skills are a requirement of this position.
- This position requires a working knowledge of appropriate codes and standards.
- This position requires an ability to use computers and software for communication and reporting purposes.
