Job Description

LRDG Language Research Development Group is a leading Canadian language-learning platform based in Montreal, offering a unique blend of tutoring expertise and online community support for proven, fast results. We have been a recognized partner to the Canadian government for over 20 years and are now looking to grow and build on what has made our business successful.

As our Director of Finance at LRDG, you will play a key role as part of the senior management team, responsible for leading and managing Accounting and FP&A.

We are seeking someone to lead an accounting team of four, overseeing the day-to-day finance and accounting operations for LRDG and several smaller related companies. This role will also drive operational excellence, improve efficiency, and reduce and automate manual activities in preparation for migrating to a new accounting system.

You will also develop and build the FP&A function, working with all departments to define revenue and cost drivers, establish and track KPIs, and develop automated, standardized reporting and analysis.

At LRDG, you’ll collaborate closely with senior leadership to craft and execute financial and corporate strategies that align with business goals, enhance profitability, and ensure long-term financial health. Your insights will be key to driving growth, optimizing cash flow, and navigating both opportunities and challenges.

This role is ideal for an experienced finance and accounting professional who thrives on building and transforming finance functions and is eager to take a hands-on role in developing a new department while leading operational excellence initiatives within financial operations.
