The Unit Sec/Med Asst provides basic, quality patient focused care in clinical setting under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse (RN) in accordance with the standards of practice within guidelines of corresponding state regulations. Performs patient care, clerical and operational coordination for the department. Coordinates and participates in a variety of duties associated with daily clinic preparation process, patient identification, patient check in/out and patient appointment scheduling. This employee also maintains department patient care supplies, ensures timely flow of patients, and assists physicians, advance practice providers, and nurses to provide optimal care to patients and families.
