Eaton’s ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a EHS Supervisor.
What you’ll do:
Provides leadership and support for Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) programs at the site, ensuring compliance with corporate objectives, regulatory requirements, and ISO 14001 standards. Responsible for maintaining EHS systems and processes, monitoring and reporting performance metrics, closing findings from audits and regulatory agencies, and driving continuous improvement through MESH system implementation. Oversees training initiatives, leads and supports EHS teams, conducts incident investigations, and promotes a strong “Zero Incident” culture. Additionally, manages site security programs, including C-TPAT/OEA certification, and coordinates internal assessments to ensure operational controls and compliance are sustained.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
A. Implement and maintain EHS management systems, including ISO 14001 certification and Eaton’s MESH framework, ensuring compliance with environmental, health, safety, and security regulations.
B. Monitor and report EHS performance metrics, ensuring timely closure of findings from internal audits, regulatory agencies, and MESH assessments.
C. Lead and promote environmental initiatives such as energy reduction, waste minimization, and zero waste to landfill projects.
D. Conducted hazard identification, ergonomic assessments, and risk evaluations for safety, health, and environmental factors in strict accordance with prevailing company laws and global directives; develop and implement operational controls to mitigate risks.
E. Drive and sustain a strong EHS culture through employee engagement at all levels.
F. Lead and support incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions to reduce TRCR and prevent recurrence.
G. Ensure compliance with national, regional, and local regulations (including NOM standards) and complete annual evaluations of compliance.
H. Utilize EHS data systems (e.g., MESH Suite/Prism) to track injuries, illnesses, environmental metrics, and action items.
I. Achieved full compliance with training requirements, development of a robust Training Needs Assessment, an Annual Training Master Plan, and performance indicators for training effectiveness follow-up.
J. Support efforts for third-party recognition (e.g., Industria Limpia, PASST) and promote world-class EHS standards.
K. Management of change (MOC) process implementation and follow-up
L. Support High risk activities MESH and legal requirements implementation
M. Support Contractor Management process
N. Ensure Business Continuity Management (BCM) and emergency response requirements compliance
O. Manage security processes related to C-TPAT/OEA certification and support site security programs.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in environmental, Health & Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or related discipline (Associate degree with equivalent experience may be considered).
• 5–7 years of experience in EHS program management in manufacturing environments. 2-3 year´s of experience in a leadership role.
• Knowledge of EHS regulations and standards (ISO 14001, local and federal laws).
• Experience with risk assessment, incident investigation, and EHS data management systems.
• Intermediate English level (Listening, speaking, writing & reading)
• Desired: ISO 14001 Lead Auditor certification.
