Job description
The Immigration Manager is responsible for managing corporate immigration services for a portfolio of clients, ensuring compliance with applicable Irish immigration and employment permit laws and delivering high-quality, client-focused solutions. The role involves overseeing end-to-end immigration processes, managing complex casework, and leading a team of caseworkers while acting as a trusted advisor to clients on immigration strategy and risk.
Key Responsibilities
Client Service & Advisory
Act as the primary point of contact for clients, providing clear, practical immigration advice and guidance
Maintain strong client relationships through regular communication and responsiveness to queries
Provide tailored solutions based on client needs, business objectives, and regulatory requirements
Simplify complex immigration concepts and communicate key implications effectively
Case & Engagement Management
Manage a portfolio of immigration cases across multiple jurisdictions or accounts
Oversee end-to-end case lifecycle, ensuring timely and accurate processing
Handle complex or escalated cases and provide resolution strategies
Ensure all applications are accurate, compliant, and submitted within deadlines
Review and sign off on applications prepared by junior team
Compliance & Risk Management
Ensure adherence to immigration laws, regulations, and internal policies
Monitor regulatory developments and assess impact on clients
Identify and mitigate legal and operational risks
Uphold the firm’s code of ethics and professional standards
Team Leadership & Development
Manage, coach, and mentor caseworkers and junior team members
Oversee workload allocation and performance of the team
Provide technical guidance on immigration law and case strategy
Support training and development initiatives within the team
Stakeholder Management
Collaborate with internal stakeholders including tax, legal, and global mobility teams
Liaise with external stakeholders such as government authorities and legal representatives
Build consensus among multiple stakeholders to drive positive outcomes
Strategy & Insights
Analyze complex issues and develop practical, data-driven recommendations
Use insights and trends to inform client advice and business decisions
Contribute to thought leadership on global immigration trends and policy changes
Skills & Experience
Strong knowledge of corporate immigration processes and legislation
Experience managing complex immigration cases across multiple jurisdictions
Understanding of global mobility frameworks
Experience in an immigration/legal/global mobility environment
Demonstrated experience managing client relationships
Previous people management or supervisory experience
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
High attention to detail and quality control
Qualifications
Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
Required Fields of Study: Law, Human Resources, Business, International Relations, or related field
Minimum Years of Experience: Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in corporate immigration, global mobility, legal, or immigration advisory services
Additional Information
This role is based in Dublin, Ireland
This is a hybrid position requiring employees to work in the Dublin office 2 days per week minimum
