We’re looking for a Senior Backend & Platform Engineer who takes ownership of building and evolving our core services.
This role is about designing and implementing high-quality backend systems, shaping architecture through hands-on work, and continuously improving how we build, deploy, and operate software.
You’ll be a key contributor to system design, API quality, data modeling, and engineering processes—working closely with both backend and AI engineers.

What You’ll Do

Build and operate high-performance backend services in Python, primarily using FastAPI
Design and implement clean, scalable REST APIs and service interfaces
Design, operate, and optimize data systems using PostgreSQL and MongoDB
Develop efficient data models, indexing strategies, and query patterns for large-scale datasets
Contribute to the evolution of our service architecture and system design
Design backend systems that support agentic workflows (e.g., orchestration, tool use, memory, state handling)
Integrate and operationalize agent frameworks (e.g., LangChain, LlamaIndex, or similar) into production systems
Improve engineering processes (CI/CD, testing, code quality, release workflows)
Ensure services are reliable, observable, and scalable in production
Own services end-to-end—from design to deployment and operation

Qualifications:

• Strong professional experience with Python backend development
• Familiarity with async Python and performance optimization in FastAPI
• Solid expertise in database design and data modeling, especially:
• Strong understanding of API design, service boundaries, and system architecture
• Experience with distributed systems or microservices
• Familiarity with agentic AI frameworks
• Understanding of stateful AI workflows, tool integration, and orchestration patterns

Nice to Have

• Experience deploying and scaling LLM/VLM-powered, self-hosted ML models and/or agent-based systems in production, preferable experience with KubeRay
• Exposure to vector databases or retrieval-augmented systems (RAG)

Education

• B.Sc./M.Sc. in computer science or another quantitaitve science
• 3+ years of experience
• Fluent in English
