If you're a skilled diesel technician with a passion for fixing earthmoving equipment, this is your opportunity to build a lasting career with a trusted Caterpillar® dealership. 🛠️ What You’ll Do as a Caterpillar Heavy Equipment Mechanic: As a Heavy Equipment Mechanic, you'll inspect, service, diagnose, and repair Cat diesel-powered equipment and construction machinery, including: Set-up, diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance Component replacement (hydraulics, fuel systems, transmissions, undercarriage, electrical, etc.) Shop Service: Work with mentor technicians in a fully equipped shop Field Service: Operate from a company-provided service truck, servicing customers at their job sites Maintain high-quality standards and follow all safety procedures ✔️ Position Requirements: Must own tools required to perform heavy equipment repairs High school diploma or equivalent Strong mechanical understanding of diesel engines, electrical, and hydraulic systems Hands-on experience with transmissions, track systems, components, and fuel systems Previous experience with Caterpillar or competitive earthmoving equipment brands Proficient in technical diagnostics and able to use Cat ET (Electronic Technician) or similar systems ⭐ Strongly Preferred: Welding and fabrication experience: MIG welding, arc gouging, oxyacetylene torch Familiarity with hydraulic pumps, valves, and motors Formal training from OEM programs or accredited technical schools Experience using diagnostic tools such as Cat ET, Cummins Insite, or competitor platforms 🔥 Top Benefits at Mustang Cat: Up to $2,000 Sign-On Bonus Great Work-Life Balance On-Premise Clinic Boot & Tool Allowances Tuition Reimbursement Job Stability with a respected Cat dealership Full-Time Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision 401(k) with Employer Match Paid Vacation, Sick Time, and Holidays Technician Review Program eligibility Technician levels and pay rates are based on your skills, certifications, and experience.
