Job Description
Position Summary:
The Cardiovascular Sonographer performs a variety of non-invasive cardiac and vascular ultrasound procedures to support the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular conditions. This role works closely with physicians and clinical staff to ensure accurate imaging, timely reporting, and an exceptional patient experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform high-quality echocardiograms and vascular ultrasound studies (e.g., carotid, venous, arterial)
- Ensure accurate image acquisition and preliminary analysis for physician interpretation
- Maintain patient comfort, safety, and confidentiality throughout procedures
- Collaborate with providers to optimize diagnostic outcomes
- Maintain equipment and adhere to quality assurance protocols
- Document and communicate findings clearly and efficiently

Minimum Qualifications:
Six months experience in performing ECHOs. Certification by The American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers for Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographers preferred. Credential in echocardiography in one of the following: Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) through the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) through the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) within one year of the date of hire. Completion of the Basic Arrhythmia Course. Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers certification is required.
