Job Description Summary
A CNC Operator handles the computer numerical control machine. Maintaining, setting, and adjusting the machine are all part of the operator's daily tasks. Operator will be cutting and shaping parts to exact specifications from a raw material for the trailer manufacturing operations by using established standard operating procedures and techniques while following company safety standards, maintaining the highest quality through diligent efforts, and maintaining daily production goals. Operator may be asked to perform other tasks assigned in support of fabrication operations.
Essential Duties
- • Perform a variety of duties including maintaining, setting, and adjusting the machine
- • Operate CNC machine in safe manner
- • Maintain clean and safe work environment
- • Perform routine maintenance on the machinery
- • Comply with company and legal guidelines
- • Perform quality checks
- • Other duties assigned as needed
Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and/or abilities required.
Required Skills
- • High school diploma/equivalent or at least one month of related experience
- • Ability to review and understand operator instructions
- • Ability to read a tape measure and caliper
- • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
Physical Requirements
- Lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Intermittent bending, lifting, stooping, reaching, walking, and squatting
- Standing for long periods of time
- Noise levels at or above 85 decibels
- Expose to weather conditions
