
COUNTER OFFER ATTENDANT
Job Description
Position Summary:
To serve residents in an upscale bistro with the highest quality of customer service.
Essential Functions:
- Prepare and serve bistro items to residents and guests (coffee, sandwiches, soup, salads, etc.)
- Relate to residents in a courteous, empathetic, and cooperative manner
- Keep environment safe and clean
- Practice and observe all safety and loss prevention procedures; adhere to universal precautions and all infection control guidelines
- Practice safe, sanitary food handling for food preparation, food holding and service
- Provide a pleasant dining experience for all community residents, while following instructions to meet their specific dietary needs when necessary
- Maintain or exceed HRA standards of appearance and cleanliness; maintain personal sanitation, hygiene and health standards
- Maintain and protect the confidentiality of resident information at all times
- Notify Dir. of Hospitality of any malfunctioning kitchen equipment or appliances
- Perform any other reasonable task as assigned by the supervisor
- The ability to take ownership for associate’s safety and the safety of the residents
- Must disclose any medication that might impair associate’s ability to perform the job safely or competently.
Non-Essential Functions:
- Leads by example exhibiting the CORE Values through servant leadership
- Must possess a passion to work with and around senior citizens
- Attends required community meetings and participates Life Enrichment activities when able
- Completes all required courses in adherence with HRA University
- Is prompt and able to perform the required duties of the position on a regular, predictable basis
- Becomes familiar and understands how to report a missing person using the Safe Return program or equivalent
- Becomes familiar and understands the steps for fire evacuation
- All associates are responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for all community residents
Qualifications/Skills/Educational Requirements:
- Must be 18 years of age or older and have a high school diploma or GED equivalent
- Must be customer service oriented
- Must be an honest and dependable individual
- Must be detail and team orientated
- Experience in a health center environment a plus
- Knowledge of safe food-handling and kitchen regulations
- Knowledge of OSHA Standards and fire and safety procedures
