
PIM Business Application Owner (Temporary - Maternity Cover)

Role Overview
We are looking for a hands-on PIM Business Application Owner to ensure the smooth operation, continuous improvement, and business adoption of our Product Information Management (PIM) ecosystem across global markets.
This role is part of the eCommerce team within the Global Marketing, Customer Experience & Education (GMCE) department and reports directly to the Head of Product Experience Management.
Sitting at the intersection of eCommerce, Product Management, and IT, this role plays a critical part in delivering high-quality product data, improving product discoverability, and driving eCommerce performance across our channels. You will act as a key operational partner to countries and global teams, while contributing to the evolution of our PIM and search capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategy & Roadmap
- Contribute to the definition and execution of the PIM roadmap in alignment with
product experience and commercial objectives - Support business concepts and solution design related to product data, enrichment,
search, and activation - Ensure PIM and search capabilities support current and future business needs
- Surface recurring operational needs and contribute to continuous improvement
initiatives
2. Delivery & Operations
- Own day-to-day PIM operations and provide hands-on operational support
- Act as a central point of contact for operational questions across regions
- Provide support through ticketing tools and ensure proper follow-up
- Deliver training, onboarding, and documentation on PIM tools and processes
- Ensure data quality, completeness, and consistency across regions and channels
- Drive operational efficiency, prioritization, and continuous improvement
3. Product Data & eCommerce Performance
- Support Product Managers in maintaining accurate and consistent product data and
catalog structures - Ensure product data enables strong product discoverability and a high-quality customer
experience - Contribute to improving eShop performance (e.g. search quality, conversion, CSAT)
through product data optimization - Identify and address gaps in product data that impact search, filtering, and navigation
4. Search & Recommendations Optimisation
- Drive search optimisation (e.g. synonyms, ranking, zero-results handling) on an ongoing
and ad hoc basis - Support search optimisation as part of product launches and key business initiatives
- Drive cross-selling and product recommendations in collaboration with Product Managers
- Support configuration and optimisation of assistants (e.g. Zoovu)
- Support rollout of search and assistant capabilities across markets
5. Issue Management & Continuous Improvement
- Identify, categorize, and triage operational issues in collaboration with BAO / TAO / IT
teams - Support rollout of new features and enhancements across markets
- Actively contribute to process improvements in product data collection, structuring, and
distribution
6. Analytics, QA & UAT
- Leverage eCommerce analytics (e.g., GA4, Hotjar) to identify optimisation opportunities and drive actions
- Monitor and improve key metrics such as search performance, product data completeness, and user engagement
- Perform quality assurance (QA) on product data and platform functionalities
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for releases and market rollouts
7. Collaboration
- Act as the primary point of contact for PIM and search topics across countries and business teams
- Collaborate closely with Product Management, Digital Marketing, Technical Communication, and IT
- Coordinate with vendors and external partners to ensure smooth operations
- Support alignment and knowledge sharing across markets on product data and search best practices
Profile & Qualifications
Required:
- 3+ years of experience in eCommerce operations, digital commerce, or PIM-related
roles - Strong understanding of:
- Product Information Management (PIM)
- Catalog management and content operations
- eCommerce ecosystems - Experience with:
- PIM systems (SAP Commerce / PCM is a plus)
- Ticketing tools (Jira, ServiceNow, etc.)
- Analytics tools (GA4, Hotjar or equivalent)
- Agile methodologies
- Experience working with search optimisation, merchandising, or product discoverability is a strong plus
- Proven ability to work in a hands-on, operational role in fast-paced environments
- Strong organizational, coordination, and problem-solving skills
- Experience working in global, cross-functional environments
- Fluent in English
Nice to Have:
- Experience in medical devices, healthcare, or B2B eCommerce
- Knowledge of product data enrichment and search optimization
- Certification in SAP Commerce or Analytics tools
- Certification in SCRUM
- Experience with SAP ERP
Education:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience
- Proven experience managing product data, catalogs, or PIM systems
