Minimum 5 years of commercial market refrigeration service experience
Minimum 2 years of market refrigeration construction experience
EPA 608 Universal Certification
Preferred / Additional Certifications (Not Required)
Refrigeration or HVAC Journeyman License
Controls certifications (Copeland, Danfoss, Honeywell, etc.)
CO₂ refrigeration training
Manufacturer-specific or specialized refrigeration training
Strong understanding of how supermarket refrigeration systems operate as an integrated system
Proven troubleshooting skills across mechanical, electrical, and controls disciplines
Ability to work independently and lead commissioning efforts in the field
Willingness to travel outside place of residence
Willingness to work nights as required for commissioning activities
Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with team members, vendors, and management.
Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and on-call rotations.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Effective and professional communication and interaction with supervisors, employees, clients, and others, whether individually or in a team environment, are vital aspects of the role.
Adherence to safety protocols and the ability to follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment guidelines, and company policies, are vital to performing work safely and effectively.
