THE ROLE OF FRONT DESK ASSOCIATE

As a Front Desk Associate, you will ensure an exceptional studio experience by delivering premium customer service, supporting teachers and students, and keeping a clean, consistent, and welcoming studio environment. This role is central to elevating student experience, driving retail and rental revenue, and ensuring operational consistency across all classes and studio traffic levels.

This role strengthens the CorePower in- studio experience by creating consistency, increasing operational reliability, and elevating how we serve our students to drive student satisfaction, retention, and sales. The role ensures the front of studio experience reflects CPY’s brand standards of care and service for our students and team members.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES

1. Front Desk & Student Experience

  • Deliver a best-in-class welcome for new and returning students, including studio etiquette, class formats, intensity levels, and membership benefits.

  • Build authentic, warm relationships with students and teachers.

  • Help students with purchases, including retail, mat/towel rentals, water, and yoga products; upsell thoughtfully when appropriate.

  • Proactively manage class waitlists and ensure smooth check in flow.

  • Support communication of studio updates, promotions, and facility issues to teachers and the Studio Experience Team (SET).

  • Accurately reconcile rosters by verifying charges, supporting student needs or concerns, and completing roster close‑out processes.

2. Studio Retail Support

  • Support retail sales by helping students with sizing, product recommendations, and purchase decisions.

  • Maintain merchandise presentation to brand standards, including handling markdowns and placing new products on the floor.

3. Studio Maintenance & Cleanliness

  • Maintain practice rooms: tidy spaces, reset props, clean mirrors, and ensure overall readiness.

  • Keep locker rooms clean, sanitized, and fully stocked.

  • Uphold brand standards for cleanliness and facility upkeep to enhance the student environment.

4. Opening & Closing Duties

  • Serve as the studio key holder responsible for daily opening and closing procedures.

  • Prepare the studio for the first class of the day: unlock the studio, set up lights and audio, and ensure the space is tidy, fresh, and welcoming.

  • Perform closing procedures after final classes: secure the studio, reconcile POS, tidy rooms, and restock as needed.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

Qualities

  • Passion for wellness, fitness, or yoga

  • Reliable, responsible, and consistent

  • Strong communication and relationship building skills

  • Demonstrate confidence and accuracy in running the point‑of‑sale (POS) system to support seamless student transactions.

Preferred Experience

  • SET experience at CorePower as this role includes supporting studio cleanliness

  • Hospitality background (fitness studios, salons, coffee shops, hotels)

  • Retail sales experience

Performance Measures (KPIs)

This role influences key studio outcomes, including:

  • Retail, rental, and water sales performance

  • Mystery Shop experience scores

  • Cleanliness and facilities

  • Student experience and community engagement

  • Hiring/retention performance for the role, including tenure and consistency of execution

Schedule & Hours

  • Part‑time; hours vary by studio schedule

  • Requires early morning, evening, weekend, and/or holiday availability depending on studio needs

  • Role may include approximately 20 hours per week as modeled in test forecasting

COMPENSATION

  • Market competitive hourly rate aligned with boutique fitness industry benchmarks and local wage standards: $18.50 per hour
