Position Overview:
Reporting to the Building Operator, this building cleaners will be responsible for a list of daily cleaning tasks throughout our building. This position requires the ability to work during standard operation hours of 8 hours shift, with the flexibility to occasionally work on weekends.
What You'll Do:
- Cleaning equipment surfaces, fixtures, desks/tables (boardrooms) and kitchen surfaces, sanitizing high-touch surfaces areas, such as, door handles, appliances, faucet handles, etc.
- Sweeping, mopping and vacuuming all floors
- Refill supplies for building occupants to use (for example, toilet paper, paper towels, soap, cleaning supplies, coffee machines, etc.)
- Washing interior windows, walls and ceilings
- Dusting of the entire location
- Thorough cleaning and sanitation of the washrooms, including mirrors, sinks, fixtures and all handles
- Emptying and removal of all garbage, debris and recycling from the building Maintaining cleanliness of the cafeteria and kitchens
- Load the compactor, waste/recycling bins and wood bin
- Other duties as assigned
About You:
- Completion of High School Diploma
- WHMIS and MSDC certifications are considered an asset;
- 2 years of experience cleaning offices, manufacturing or warehouse facilities is preferred;
- Able to follow instructions, problem solve and take initiatives towards a solution;
- Learn and consistently exhibit Canada Goose's values, taking pride in being innovative, respectful, passionate, accountable and entrepreneurial while exhibiting personal commitment;
- Ability to lift 50 lbs, bend over, crouch,
- Self-motivated, able to work independently as well as work in a team,
- Able to learn and use commercial cleaning equipment such as power washers, step tools etc,
- Able to work cross-functional;
- Able to wear safety shoes all the shift;
- Able to stand the whole shift;
- Able to work in a timely and efficiently;
- Able to work with chemical cleaning solutions;
- Able to understand and read basic English,for example, health and safety signs; have good English communication skills;
Working Conditions:
- Fast-paced manufacturing working environment with some level of noise
- Working in a facility with down; Cleaning the area such as, office area, kitchen, cafeteria, production floor, washrooms etc.
- Well-lit working environment;
- Fully equipped break room including hot beverages, microwaves, and refrigerators;
