- Establish and maintain strong customer relationships for restoration services
- Educate customers on the restoration and mitigation process, including timelines, expectations, and next steps
- Assess property damage and work with customers to understand immediate needs, safety concerns, and potential upgrades
- Ensure all estimates and scopes align with client requirements and insurance carrier guidelines
- Analyze labor, materials, equipment, and time required for restoration and remediation projects
- Create accurate sketches and develop an initial scope of work for mitigation and restoration services
- Deliver consistent, detailed, and well-documented estimates using industry-standard tools (e.g., Xactimate / Cotality™)
- Identify project constraints, potential hazards, and required repairs or upgrades related to damage conditions
- Collaborating with Project Managers and field teams to validate scope, pricing, and production approach
- Identify, document, and finalize the full scope of work from mitigation through reconstruction
- Coordinate with external resources as needed (e.g., adjusters, industrial hygienists, engineers, environmental testing firms) to ensure estimate accuracy
- Assemble clear, accurate, and well-organized estimates for internal review and client submission
- Communicate estimate details, project scope, and updates effectively with customers, insurance partners, and internal teams
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Business, or related field preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in restoration estimating, water/fire mitigation, and/or insurance adjusting
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to manage customers during stressful loss situations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for working with customers, adjusters, and internal teams
- Proficiency in Xactimate™ estimating software and familiarity with insurance carrier guidelines and TPA programs
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills in evaluating property damage and determining scope of work
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, emergency service environment with shifting priorities
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and documentation skills
- Team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate effectively with production crews and office staff
- Valid driver’s license with the ability to travel locally to job sites as needed
- IICRC WRT – Water Damage Restoration Technician
- IICRC ASD – Applied Structural Drying
- IICRC FSRT – Fire & Smoke Restoration Technician
- IICRC AMRT – Applied Microbial Remediation Technician
- IICRC OCT – Odor Control Technician (preferred)
- IICRC CCT – Carpet Cleaning Technician (a plus)
- Xactimate Level 1, 2, or 3 Certification (preferred)
- Walking and/or standing for extended periods throughout the day
- Frequent driving and sitting
- Occasional ladder use and work at heights
- Exposure to varying environmental conditions, including heat and humidity
- Work environments may include active job sites with elevated noise levels
Pay Structure is Annual Salary Plus Commission
