Surgical Technologist, Float Team, PRN, Baptist Downtown

Baptist Health is looking for a Surgical Technologist with at least 2 years of experience to join our Float Team. As a member of the Float Team, you will have the opportunity to work a flexible schedule to accommodate your lifestyle. A PRN candidate is required to work four shifts per month and a full-time candidate is required to work three shifts per week, weekends included.

 

A Surgical Technologist in this position will float between campuses including the Baptist Medical Center Jacksonville campus operating room. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a collaborative and patient-focused environment while enjoying the benefits of a flexible work schedule.

 

As a Surgical Technologist, your responsibilities will include:

• Assembling, organizing, and maintaining a sterile field for operative procedures.
• Anticipating the needs of the surgeon and the progression of the case and preparing accordingly.
• Proper disposition of specimens and instruments.
• Working with the entire surgical team to minimize anesthesia time and to promote patient safety.
• Graduation from an Accredited Surgical Technologist CAAHEP or ABHES Program  
• OR - Previous experience working in an Operating Room (OR) setting
• Minimum of two years of working experience as a Surgical Technologist
• Experience in Ortho – total joints, robot, general, Gynecology, ENT, or urology.

Experience Requirements:

• 2 years Surgical Services Experience Required

Education & Credential Requirements: 

• Vocational School or
• Associates Degree Required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
