PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Manage shift production operations to achieve safety, quality, delivery, and productivity targets while ensuring adherence to standard work practices.
- Lead and develop the production team through effective manpower management, training execution, capability development, and succession planning.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives through TPM, Lean principles, root cause analysis, and implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Monitor and communicate KPIs with timely escalation, problem resolution, and operational readiness for subsequent shifts.
- Ensure compliance with EHS, IATF 16949, and IMS requirements while promoting a Zero Incident, Zero Defect, and Zero Downtime culture.
- Facilitate structured problem-solving and implementation of process improvements to sustain quality and operational excellence.
- Ensure proactive communication and effective coordination with cross-functional teams including Quality, Maintenance, Planning, Warehouse, and Engineering.
- Lead by example to build a strong safety, quality, accountability, and performance-driven culture within the team.
- Lead and support Continuous Improvement (CI) projects focused on productivity enhancement, waste reduction, downtime minimization, and process optimization.
- Manage production plan adherence, capacity readiness, and smooth shift handovers to ensure safe and efficient plant operations.
- Ensure accurate execution of month-end stock count, inventory reconciliation, and process traceability activities.
- Manage PGM solution issuance from vault and controlled addition into batching tanks, ensuring quantity verification, process compliance, traceability, and safe material handling practices.
- Drive PGM reconciliation accuracy and support initiatives for reduction of PGM losses and working capital optimization.
- Build team capability through coaching, mentoring, performance reviews, and structured training and development plans.
- Support budget control initiatives through monitoring of material consumption, wastage reduction, productivity improvement, and efficient utilization of resources.
- Act as a role model in demonstrating leadership behaviors, collaboration, compliance, and commitment toward overall factory goals and business performance.
SCOPE
The production shift supervisor is responsible for the production area during the shift. Responsible for safety, quality and performance. Authority to change production plan where necessary.

- Shift based role 24*7, one week off

Degree level in technical discipline (Mechanical/Chemical) Engineering - Essential
More than 5 years of experience in production environment - Essential
Extensive experience leading shift teams in complex, fast-paced manufacturing environments - Essential
Has worked on ERP system (SAP) - Essential
Qualified in technical discipline - Essential
Lean manufacturing and problem-solving skills - Essential
PERSONAL SKILLS & KEY COMPETENCIES
