Job Description
Compensation:
The Area Business Director is an individual contributor responsible for building and maintaining a strong commercial presence, executing and implementing insurance contracts, and driving increased sales of all test menus within the
assigned region. The Area Business Director is expected to act as a high-level commercial representative, growing business among existing clients and promoting the organization to new clients to meet strategic business objectives. This position will concentrate on improving market access in the region, new business development and sustaining existing business within assigned channels that supports Ambry’s overall business.
II. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Execute and implement insurance contracts and other key commercial agreements in the region.
2. Engage with regional insurance payors and internal teams to address and support reimbursement for Ambry
testing services.
3. Develop and execute a territory business plan, identifying, evaluating, and building a strong commercial
presence with potential and existing clients.
4. Drive increased sales of all test menus within the assigned geographic region to achieve territory revenue and
sales objectives.
5. Develop, communicate, and execute a comprehensive sales plan for both existing and new accounts.
6. Maintain a high level of product, competitor, and market knowledge.
7. Participate in cross-functional teams and ensure excellent cross-departmental collaboration (e.g., Medical
Affairs, Operations, Finance, L&D).
8. Develop process improvements to drive increased sales efficiency and effectiveness.
9. Partner with internal teams (Market Access, Client Services, etc.) to maintain superior customer support.
10. Identify and develop key opinion leaders as advocates for Ambry Genetics products and services.
IV. EDUCATION AND KNOWLEDGE:
- A Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) is required

VI. EXPERIENCE:
- 7-10 Years of experience to include Sales Management or high-level individual contributor sales on a regional or
national level within the health system, IDNs, and laboratory market.
- Must be able to travel as needed within the region and occasionally outside of the region.
