Job Description

Key Responsibilities May Include:

  • Lead and mentor the Logistics Execution Analysts and Coordinators, driving continuous improvement in logistics processes.
  • Collaborate with commercial teams to ensure the highest levels of customer service and satisfaction across the region.
  • Analyze root causes of customer service failures, implementing cross-functional action plans to minimize risks and improve reliability.
  • Oversee transporter performance, working with the Carrier Management team to monitor and enhance day-to-day service quality.
  • Act as the logistics key point of contact for internal and external customers, providing essential support for seamless operations.
  • Drive improvements in logistics execution, identifying and implementing strategies to optimize operations and reduce costs.
  • Ensure effective communication and coordination with other departments to maintain operational excellence.
  • Develop and track KPIs to measure logistics performance, making data-driven decisions for ongoing process improvements.

CHEP Brazil is seeking an experienced People Leader – Logistics Execution to lead logistics execution at a national level, ensuring best-in-class customer service, operational excellence, and cost efficiency.

This is a senior leadership role with end-to-end accountability for logistics execution, directly impacting customer experience, financial performance, and strategic supply chain outcomes.

Purpose of the Role

To lead a highly skilled logistics team and ensure the efficient, reliable, and cost-effective execution of logistics operations across the country. The role is responsible for delivering customer-centric service through optimized supply and collection of equipment, while continuously improving logistics processes and controlling cost-to-serve.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide senior leadership to Logistics Execution Analysts and Coordinators, fostering a high-performance, continuous improvement culture.
  • Own the balance between service level and logistics cost, including demand planning and distribution execution.
  • Manage annual logistics budget, including quarterly reviews, monthly reconciliations, and efficiency initiatives.
  • Lead root cause analysis of service failures and deploy cross-functional action plans to improve reliability and reduce risk.
  • Oversee carrier performance in partnership with the Carrier Management team, ensuring high day-to-day service quality.
  • Act as the primary logistics interface for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring seamless operational execution.
  • Drive logistics execution optimization initiatives, improving efficiency, service levels, and cost performance.
  • Define, monitor, and act on critical KPIs (DIFOT, CIFOT, NPS, truck fill rate, logistics cost, savings initiatives, decarbonization).
  • Ensure strong collaboration with Planning, Operations, Sales, Finance, and Asset teams in a matrix environment.

Role Scope

  • Team leadership: 11 total collaborators (3 direct reports).
  • Geographical scope: Nationwide (single-country operation).
  • Decision-making authority: Senior leadership role with autonomy to resolve complex operational challenges.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 8 years of logistics experience within an industrial or complex supply chain environment.
  • At least 5 years in people leadership roles.
  • Fluent English (mandatory).

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA or postgraduate degree.
  • Exposure to Artificial Intelligence or advanced analytics tools applied to business.
  • Intermediate Spanish.
