If you’re eager for your next opportunity, Imperial Dade is a great place to take that next step.   The Transportation Manager supervises daily transportation activities and personnel to ensure functions are performed according to our standards and guidelines.   You will work from Monday - Friday from 6:00 AM to 3:30 PM with the ability to be flexible on work hours/shifts. You will: Manage a cohesive, collaborative team, including supervisors, dispatchers, clerks, routers, and drivers Maximize the use of our transportation options: box trucks, tractors, and trailers Creates and manages Driver Qualification (DQ) files Manages Department of Transportation (DOT) audits Establish delivery routes that are cost-effective and compliant with Federal DOT guidelines and ensure all drivers comply with company, federal, state, and local laws and regulations  Maintain exceptional customer service standards, quality, and satisfaction Utilize Roadnet application to ensure delivery costs are held to the company-expected run rates Optimize routing schedules while strongly emphasizing driver safety You have: High School diploma/GED or equivalent experience 2+ years of distribution, logistics, transportation, or related work experience Ability to create, manage, and calculate routes Experience with DQ file compliance Knowledge of the Chicago Area and Wisconsin Proficiency in Excel and Word and experience with RoadNet is a plus Union environment experience is a big plus
