Job Description
The Employment and Human Services Associate support Noncustodial Parents
(NCPs) referred through the TANF/Choices NCP Program by providing
individualized career services, case management, and coordinated support to help
participants meet their child support obligations and achieve long-term selfsufficiency.
The representative works in collaboration with the Office of the Attorney
General (OAG), Texas Workforce Commission (TWC), and local partners to deliver
employment-focused services that remove barriers, enhance job readiness, and
promote sustained employment outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
• Conduct intake and eligibility assessments for referred NCPs, identifying
employment goals, skills, and barriers to success
• Develop and manage Individual Employment Plans (IEPs) tailored to each
NCP’s career goals and support needs
• Provide job search assistance, resume development, interview preparation,
and labor market navigation
• Refer participants to training programs, job readiness workshops, and
community resources as appropriate
• Coordinate supportive services such as transportation, legal aid referrals,
and soft skills training to address employment barriers
• Maintain ongoing communication and engagement with participants to
monitor progress and adjust services as needed
• Track participation and outcomes, ensuring compliance with Choices NCP
program policies and documentation standards
• Collaborate with OAG staff, child support court representatives, and
community agencies to support compliance with court orders and
employment milestones
• Maintain accurate case notes, activity documentation, and data entry in the
designated workforce systems
