Job Description

Full-time

The Quality Control Technician is responsible for conducting quality tests, performing inspection checks, calibrating equipment, and communicating test results.

Responsibilities:

· Carry out instructions given by the Production Manager

· Measures critical dimensions as instructed or test fits product on gages to ensure product quality per roll or box and writes measurements on a production report for the supervisor to follow-up and double check product.

· Develop quality control procedures

· Complete spot audits, daily audits on finished goods and quality sorting

· Inspect, monitor, record and report quality data for production and incoming Inspection activities to assist in operations

· Train other operators on quality control and assisting where necessary

Education & Experience: 

· Preferred 2-5 years profile extrusion experience

· Previous quality control experience preferred but not required

Requirements:

· Physical stamina and agility to stand, bend, and lift items up to 50 lbs.

· Ability to be on your feet for up to 8 hr. shifts

· Capability to use hand tools for measurements as trained

· Always be on time and prompt for work hours and have reliable transportation

· Basic reading skills (English)

· Plant working conditions: significant standing, walking, lifting. Wear safety gear as required for job tasks

· Must be able to withstand a hot production environment during summer months. Temps are generally 10 degrees warmer than outside ambient temperatures

Competencies: 

· Excellent attention to detail

· Good verbal communication skills to communicate issues or ask questions 

· Must be able to work in a drug and alcohol-free workplace 

· Determined ability to learn
