About The Role

Dow Jones Risk & Compliance is a global provider of third-party risk management and regulatory compliance solutions. We deliver data, research tools, and services to help clients meet anti-money laundering (AML), anti-bribery, anti-corruption, and economic sanctions regulations, and mitigate third-party risk.

We are currently looking for an experienced Specialist within our Due Diligence team. This expert individual contributor role is responsible for maintaining the highest quality standards across all reports and research methodologies, as well as for the creation of high-quality reports on companies and/or individuals using a combination of publicly-available sources and proprietary databases. As a Research Specialist, you will act as a subject matter expert and ensure reports and any other projects meet client requirements in terms of accuracy and timeliness by following Dow Jones quality standards. You will contribute to the creation, maintenance and testing of guidelines, data and tools that will support the team to produce the highest quality data possible, and may also be called on to assist other teams in Data Intelligence & AI Governance with special projects, according to their individual skills and knowledge. You will report to the Associate Director, Research, Due Diligence.

  

You Will

  • Act as the authoritative lead for the development, maintenance, and communication of all general research methodology and country-specific guidance for the Due Diligence team.
  • Ensure Due Diligence reports are timely, complete and accurate, handling particularly complex or sensitive research assignments 
  • Design and execute robust testing protocols for new or enhanced system and product functionality
  • Develop and lead comprehensive training programs and onboarding curricula for new team members, subcontractors, and supporting internal teams
  • Serve as a primary escalation point for high-level and complex research queries from clients, internal stakeholders, and subcontractors. Standardize and manage the repository of research documentation and FAQs for recurrent questions.
  • Contribute to both team and product-initiated projects
  • Support R&C with translation services as and when required
  • Support teams in different hubs and time zones, ensuring consistent training delivery, operational coverage, and stakeholder collaboration.

You Have

  • Excellent English writing skills
  • At least 3 years of experience in the field of Due Diligence
  • Knowledge of and interest in international affairs and politics
  • Expert-level research and investigative skills, with demonstrable proficiency in advanced online search tools and proprietary databases
  • Demonstrated experience delivering structured training, onboarding, or skills-building support towards optimal performance.
  • Proven ability to influence and consult effectively with a variety of stakeholders, including senior management, external clients, and global support teams
  • An openness to different views and opinions and an appreciation for team diversity

Preferred

  • Specialist legal, business or financial knowledge
  • Fluency in at least one of the following: Russian, Portuguese, Spanish, French, Chinese, or Arabic

Base Pay Range: €35,000 - €50,000
