AREA MANAGER, EAST REGION
AT A GLANCE:
Broad River Retail is currently seeking an Area Manager, Retail to join our Retail team. If you believe that your people are your greatest asset and have a track record in retail or commissioned sales as a multi-unit leader in a highly transactional, fast-paced retail environment, this role will be a great fit.
A DAY IN THE LIFE AS THIS MEMORY MAKER:
- Championing our Mission, Values, and Customer Beliefs
- Oversees consistent implementation of processes and policy standards across stores
- Own and drive sales performance in 3-5 retail locations with 50+ individuals.
- Recruiting, hiring, and retaining top talent
- Addresses opportunities in stores displaying under-performance
- Think critically and solve issues.
- Be a hands-on, energetic sales leader with a passion for retail
- Instruct, demonstrate, practice, and validate a clearly defined sales process with your direct team and teams of teams.
- Train and manage others to follow our Operational Processes.
- Organize multiple competing priorities while meeting deadlines.
- Maintain the highest standards of personal and professional conduct.
- Maximize your own potential through continual self-improvement and accountability.
- Focus on our customers’ needs and strive to exceed their expectations.

- Be accountable to hit the following numbers each week: Revenue to Budget, Sleep Budget, Diamond Care (Furniture Protection), and Sales Per Guest

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a big box retail management, selling culture required.
- Must have a track record in retail or commissioned sales and/or general management experience in highly transactional, fast-paced retail environment.
- History of successfully managing a team of 100 or more associates is preferred.
- Exceptional people skills and strong work ethic required.
- Ability to work independently and effectively plan, organize and set/achieve priorities when performing work
- Ability to handle highly confidential information discretely and professionally
- Superior interpersonal skills (written, verbal, presentation)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Computer skills/technology skills
- Competent in the use of iPads and tablets
- Mathematical skills
WORKPLACE ENVIRONMENT:
- This role is primarily performed on the salesfloor. Physical requirements such as standing, moving, and lifting may be required.
- Candidates must be able to perform the essential physical requirements to accommodate the functions of this job.
- Weekly travel to respective Homestores
- 1-2 overnight stays a month
