What you will do
The Electrical Engineering Project Manager serves as the primary representative of the Engineering Department, responsible for ensuring the Electrical Engineering team delivers consistent, high-quality, cost-effective, and timely solutions in support of wind, solar, and energy storage facility construction. This role oversees and directs the work of third-party consultants, promotes environmental stewardship, and cultivates a strong health and safety culture within the Electrical Engineering group.
Main responsibilities:
- Serve as a subject matter expert in electrical engineering, providing technical leadership in the design of high and medium voltage collection systems and substations for solar, wind and BESS systems, and utility compliance requirements.
- Lead, coordinate, and review engineering deliverables from third-party consultants in a timely manner, ensuring technical accuracy, compliance with EDPR specifications and all applicable codes and standards (NEC, IEEE, NESC, ANSI), and strict adherence to project schedules and budgets..
- Develop and manage comprehensive electrical engineering documentation, including scopes of work, budgets, specifications, schedules, technical exhibits, and Requests for Proposals (RFPs).
- Evaluate technical solutions from equipment manufacturers and electrical contractors. Assist procurement teams in vendor selection and contract development.

What are we looking for
Minimum Requirements:

- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (Master’s degree preferred). Professional Engineer (PE) licensed preferred, with a minimum of 5+ years’ experience in electrical engineering.
- Ability to manage the work of third party consultants and service contracts.
- Knowledge of medium voltage collection system, high-voltage substation equipment, power system dynamics, grid integration, P&C, SCADA, lightning protection, grounding grids , and relevant codes (NEC, IEEE, NEC, ANSI).
- Experience with power system and modeling software, such as ETAP, PSCAD, PSS®E, PVsyst, or equivalent, is preferred.
