
Purchasing Supervisor
Job Description
The Buyer is responsible for daily operational and project-based purchasing activities for the Mexico Service & Management Platform, including products, services, materials, equipment, and project-related procurement. This position ensures that purchases meet business requirements in terms of quality, cost, delivery, compliance, and internal approval procedures, while supporting supplier management, bidding, negotiation, contract follow-up, and cross-department coordination.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supplier management within the manufacturing industry.
- Experience in supplier negotiations, market analysis, and purchase order management.
- Knowledge of legal and tax regulations related to purchasing processes.
- Experience in cost analysis and budget management.
- Advanced MS Office skills and intermediate SAP knowledge.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Main Responsibilities:
- Manage the purchasing process from quotation requests to purchase order issuance.
- Identify, evaluate, and develop suppliers based on quality, cost, and delivery performance.
- Negotiate prices, payment terms, and commercial agreements with suppliers.
- Monitor supplier performance and ensure timely delivery of products and services.
- Analyze purchasing costs and identify opportunities for savings and process improvements.
- Support procurement activities related to construction, facilities, IT, security, administrative services, and special projects.
- Coordinate with internal departments to understand requirements and ensure procurement needs are met.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable regulations.
- Resolve issues related to deliveries, quality concerns, and supplier performance.
Important:
Conversational English is mandatory for this position, as the role reports directly to an international manager and requires regular communication with global teams and foreign suppliers.
