Pay Range: $130,000 - $140,000 per year
TITLE: PROJECT EXECUTIVE
REPORTS TO: CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER
JOB DUTIES / GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:
The Project Executive will be responsible for leadership, financial performance and oversight for the operations of all construction, project management and project administration activities associated with a specific market sector or business unit. To accomplish this, the Project Executive will lead and manage a team of Senior Project Managers and Project Managers to deliver exceptional quality and customer service to our clients. The Project Executive will work closely with the executive management team to understand the goals and direction of Pueblo Mechanical and lead the team to generate profits.
FINANCIAL
Achieve financial targets for market sector or business unit.
Accurately forecast business unit results on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis
Prepare annual budgets for business unit
Track project portfolio budgets and identify any shortcomings or pitfalls within a project, also identify any opportunities to increase profit.
Ensure accuracy in the project cost to complete projections.
OPERATIONS
Review bid documents and determine potential issues or opportunities before the project begins.
Review drawings and plans and the development of schedules that will meet budget.
Work with preconstruction services staff and other operations personnel to ensure project goals and milestones are met.
Attend coordination and site meetings with owners as needed.
Attend monthly project meetings with project team leadership to review critical milestones, and, not limited to, schedules, safety and profitability.
Review written documentation involving important changes in project scope, execution or cost.
Maintain strict adherence to the budgetary guidelines, quality, and safety standards.
Ensure that job processes are followed in accordance to company policies.
Ensure company contractual standards are being met.
QUALITY ASSURANCE
Ensure quality of work meets and/or exceeds acceptable industry standards.
Complete and/or review Quality Assurance analysis on projects to prevent call backs and warranty work.
Attend job-site walks with clients to ensure complete satisfaction.
BUILD LONG-TERM RELATIONSHIPS
Proactively build and maintain relationships with current and future clients as well as develop relationships with subcontractors to support future growth and opportunities.
Initiate new projects with architects, engineers, owners, and general contractors.
Proactively communicate with entire construction team at all times.
Recognize and track the progress of employees; delegate appropriately to team members, and manage multiple project teams successfully.
Client Relationships
Proactively build and maintain relationships with current and future clients.
Proactively communicate with entire construction team at all times.
Subcontractor Relationships
Proactively develop relationships with subcontractors to support future growth and opportunities.
HUMAN RESOURCES:
Develop the objectives and goals for team members.
Recognize and track the progress of employees, and properly nominate individuals for promotions.
Recruit, interviewing and hire prospective employees.
Create and promote open communication of project team as well as owner/client.
SAFETY:
Assure all Pueblo Mechanical and project specific safety requirements are met.
Review safety officer reports on conducted jobsite visits to ensure a safe jobsite.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Four-year Construction Science/Engineering degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Industry experience of 10 to 15 years of responsibility for the total execution of large commercial construction projects.
Advanced experience and knowledge of commercial construction estimating, means and methods, accounting, project administration and a thorough understanding of industry practices.
Experience in the management of Project Managers, Superintendents and project support staff.
Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal and computer skills.
Must possess the utmost level of personal integrity and have the ability to create and lead an organization culture of collaboration, both internally and externally, in order to maintain the superior reputation of Pueblo Mechanical.
