Job Summary
The Regional Director of Healthcare Technology Management (HTM) drives the CHS corporate goals and objectives set by CHS senior leadership. The HTM RD provides leadership and drives the strategic direction for healthcare technology management program as outlined in policies and procedures, HTM KPIs, HTM OKRs, program regulatory analytics requirements across the organization. This role is accountable for aligning HTM strategy with clinical, operational, financial, and regulatory priorities, ensuring the safe, compliant, and cost-effective management of medical technology assets included in the inventory. The HTM RD oversees HTM staff, and drives standardization, optimization, and continuous improvement across HTM operations, and medical device lifecycle management.
Essential Functions
- Execute HTM corporate enterprise-wide strategy and vision for the program.
- Responsible for analytics, asset management, medical device life cycle and performance measurement
- Provide leadership and oversight to assigned HTM staff, ensuring operational excellence, talent development, and succession planning
- Partner with executive leaders, clinical stakeholders, digital technology, finance, and supply chain to align HTM priorities with CHS and local organizational goals and capital planning
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, accreditation EPs, and safety standards while managing risk across healthcare technology operations
- Asist in the development of all initiatives focused on medical device standardization, cost optimization, data governance, and continuous improvement across the HTM portfolio
Qualifications
- Associate Degree in Electronics Engineering or a related field required or
- Military service with a biomedical equipment or electronics specialty and 10 years of relevant experience required
- A combination of education and 15 years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
- 7-9 years of healthcare technology management experience or related field required
- 3-5 years of supervisory or leadership experience overseeing technical staff required
Licenses and Certifications
- Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation (AAMI) certification such as CBET, CHTM, CRES, or CLES required
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong strategic and analytical thinking with proven leadership in complex healthcare environments
- Expertise in technology management, governance, and portfolio planning
- Excellent executive communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to lead organizational change and drive transformation initiatives
- Understanding of regulatory requirements of medical devices (CMS, TJC, CLIA, AABB, NRC,State, Local). Responsible for meeting all regulatory requirements of the HTM program.
